Begin the process of examining yourself, your life, and your achievements so far to assist you in bringing your hidden assumptions to the forefront. How does where you thought you would be at this stage of your life compare with where you actually are? As we continue down the path of self-examination, you will be compelled to think about who you are, and what your motivations, tendencies, and fears are. How are these things helping or holding you back? Your material self and your memory self, your identity, goals, desires and fears will all be analyzed.
What is Exobase?
Exobase is an intense process of introspection about your options, your calling, and your life, combined with the exploration of practical philosophies and tools to help you in taking your next steps. We invite you to be an active participant in the discussions about the most basic and important ideas defining your life and the world around you to apply new ideas and new perspectives to your individual situation. The program is designed to be a place where you can temporarily suspend external pressures and think about your life and goals with a clear mind and support from others going through the same process.
When the way you spend your time is out of alignment with your calling, you will be in pain. You may not yet know what your particular vocation is, but it’s imperative to be looking for it already. The only way to find it is to try all kinds of different things. Search, explore, experiment!
Or maybe you have known for some time what you should be doing, but you were afraid of doing it, or perhaps have just been unsure of taking the first steps. Nothing could be more important to your life and happiness than determining your calling and pursuing it with all of your energy.
Exobase is designed to be a place where external pressures can be momentarily bracketed so that you can think about your life and goals with ease of mind, learning new philosophies and practical tools to upgrade your context and thrive in a fast-paced world.
You have the potential to live meaningfully and make an adventure out of your life, and at Exobase we will help you figure out the next steps.
Morning (9AM to 1PM)
Based on Daniel Kahneman’s book Thinking Fast and Slow, we analyze how we perceive the world and how we suck at looking what is beyond our circle and context. Because of this, we miss infinite possibilities to develop businesses in giant markets and solve huge problems that no one is addressing. The way we experience things and the way we remember things are very different, even if we do not realize this differences. Similarly, the way we perceive how time goes by, as opposed to how we measure time, are also very different in retrospect. All these perception biases affect your current situation and how you feel about past experiences.
We will discuss also a framework that helps you understand how natural tendencies function in your perception of the world, in the way you make decisions and in the dynamics of your relationships with other people.
It is a powerful tool for a better understanding of the human resources within your team or company.
Being aware of each individual’s strengths and weaknesses allows you to achieve an optimal division of labor inside your startup. Also, knowing how different types behave in different circumstances allows you to better resolve interpersonal conflicts, which is so often the root cause of startup failures.
By definition, most people live mediocre lives, and however much you want to deny it, chances are, you are most people. The effort required to live a mediocre life is diminished through the creation of habits. With the creation of enough good habits, overperformance starts exceeding the “Great” threshold. Habits are an algorithm for automating solutions to everyday problems of life, and the more and better ones you build, the higher your chances of living an extraordinary life.
As you determine what to do next in your personal journey, you will leave with the “Discipline Toolkit” of
- delaying gratification,
- assuming responsibility,
- radical dedication to reality,
- and balancing.
With brutal honesty, we will discuss how there are no silver bullets for discipline, no apps or tricks or productivity tools that will help you master it, but rather that these tools improve with use, and become integrated in your life through habit. Bolstered in motivation by seeing the progress you make while remaining devoted to discipline, you will be able to make learning and personal growth a life-long endeavor that will take you wherever you may want to go and will empower you to achieve whatever you desire to achieve.
We will explore both the price and reward of building community with the people in our lives, from home and friendships to the workplace. Then we will discuss how to begin making it part of your experience now.
Popularized by author Nassim Taleb, Antifragility is key to the development of any entrepreneur. Stop being frozen from taking action because of the fear of failure and the uncertain. Once you understand how to benefit from failure, chaos, and uncertainty, not only will you no longer fear it, but you will actually be able to appreciate it. You will see that it is better to be “easy to fix” than “hard to break,” and how to avoid the deadliest mistake most people make in the midst of chaos and turmoil: choking on their own blood.
Afternoon (2PM to 6PM)
The way the tech tabloids and mainstream media portray entrepreneurship and start-ups is complete nonsense. Everything you think you know about start-ups is probably wrong. We go through the reality of building something from scratch and what it requires day-to-day to survive rather than to grow and sell to Google or Facebook. Based on the Lean Startup methodology (we actually read it!) and our favourite giant robot dinosaur friend FAKEGRIMLOCK, we go over the Secret Laws of Startups and we will help you dispel the myths and get to the core of what an entrepreneurial journey really looks like.
We analyze what we believe will be the 3 most important trends going into the near future and how to be a part of them rather than just look at them take place.
- The Digital Middle Class,
- Grid Autonomy, and
All under the lens of American writer, computer scientist, and pioneer in the field of virtual reality, Jaron Lanier. Exosphere is bridging the gap between Science and Business with its COPERNICUS series of boot camps.
“Insist on yourself; never imitate. Your own gift you can present every moment with the cumulative force of a whole life’s cultivation; but of the adopted talent of another, you have only an extemporaneous, half possession.”
These words of Ralph Waldo Emerson truly define the irreducible principles of meaningful success in life–it must be your own, from within you, and not simply a template borrowed from somebody else. We delve deep into this subject to help you understand the full range of your potential.
What is our vision at Exosphere? What are we trying to build? What are our plans for the near future? And how you can be part of it? Open time for Q&A.

YOU IN 10 YEARS
The world 10 years from now will be completely different from the world today.
You need to be thinking NOW how to make your place in that new world.
There will be no place to find, no work to find, and nobody to find you. You will have to make your place out of your talent, your determination, and your ability to work adaptively with other people to constantly react to the never ending tide of change.
Do you know what is happening in technology?
Synthetic Biology, Cyborgism, Machine Intelligence. There are people hacking our DNA, people building robots to build other robots, planning to go to mars–do you want to play a role in this new world or be forced to live in somebody else’s world?
What happens in 5 years when your job will be automated?
What happens if you don’t get the job you are hoping for?
Being prepared to face the changes that are taking place is important if you want to make sure you have a healthy, productive, and meaningful life. What if your work turns out to be nothing like you expected (it always happens, ask your friends and family) and you want something different? What if you discover that your job conflicts with your values? Are your life decisions coming from inside, or are they driven by outside expectations?
Being aware of your deep interest and where your motivation comes from is important for you to build a life aligned to your values and personal mission.
How much do you know about the world?
- Did you know that Kenya is the country in the world with the highest number of mobile payments?
- Did you know that Latin America is the most urbanized region of the world with about 80% of its population living in cities?
- Did you know that the Philippines is the country in the world with highest usage of social media?
Getting a global perspective is vital for you to live and thrive in a globalized world. Having access to an international community of problem solvers is critical for your success and for finding the companions of your life journey.
Exobase made us open our minds to look at all those little mistakes that in some way wouldn’t let us make the right decisions. It allowed us to feel, create, learn, and grow not in inches or age but grow as a person. We received a great experience and it was undoubtedly THE BEST WEEKEND OF MY LIFE. I have no words to express my appreciation.
It’s always about means and ends. Exobase is a mean to look firstly into yourself. The best way I’ve ever experienced, because they figured out how to put the right words in the right places and help you discover your own thoughts.
There is no start-up, university, school, or incubator which teaches you to go so deep into yourself. A radical dedication to the truth is what makes Exobase really different.
Today’s Entrepreneur Boot Camp with Exobase was phenomenal! Meeting this group of highly successful entrepreneurs was extremely motivating on all levels… The material provided and discussed was way more valuable than anything I was taught in any college business courses. It was truly inspiring to meet so many like minded individuals who are completely in alignment with my same passion and beliefs. Entrepreneurship is the best way to achieve all my goals in life.

Are you prepared?
Most people have small dreams, little victories, a brief pension, and a quiet death. But wouldn’t you rather live without rigid definition, always adapting, always challenging and being challenged, a life of meaning, a life of real impact on the world?
What kind of game do you want your life to be?
You may think the first kind of life is the safest game to play. You are wrong. That’s how the world used to be. Not anymore. Not since the Dotcom bubble burst. Not since Enron. Not since Lehman Brothers. Not since the European debt crisis. The stable world is gone. It was an aberration. A blip. It’s never coming back.
You live in a different world than the one your role models succeeded in. Your parents and grandparents had a clearer path. Seventy short years of pseudo-stability. Seven decades of false comfort. But you live in a time of fast-paced change, a time when you cannot take anything for granted, a time of growing uncertainty. A time when the world is too complex to make sense of.
Do you feel like you are truly prepared for such a life?
Is your life organized to benefit from chaos and randomness or are you vulnerable to the unknown and unexpected?
